Method Motorsport, the newest name in Australian motorsport backed by V8 Supercar Driver & two-time Bathurst 1000 Champion Chaz Mostert, is thrilled to announce their partnership with the SRO Motorsports Group for the upcoming SRO GT4 Series.
This groundbreaking collaboration marks a significant leap forward for motorsport in Australia and positions Method Motorsport as a prominent contender in the thrilling world of GT4 racing. Stephane Ratel, the Founder and Global CEO of SRO Motorsports Group, commented on the significance of this partnership: "SRO are very excited to enter GT4 Australia into the Australian Motorsport market as a stand-alone category for the first time in 2024. We see GT4 as a vital piece in the growth of GT Racing throughout Australia as we plan on building GT Racing in Australia as we have globally. GT4 globally is a category designed for both semi-professional and young aspiring professional drivers, which is why we will be implementing the same
philosophy in Australia."
Ratel continued, "We are delighted to welcome Method Motorsport with their two brand new McLaren Arturas as the first official entries in the brand new GT4 Australia Championship. We are very excited to see what this new team and their relationship with McLaren Customer Racing can achieve in GT4 Australia. There will be more exciting GT4 Australia entries and
news to be announced shortly."
Method Motorsport has the capability to support other customers and their cars through the course of the 2024 series as not only are strong competitors in the 2024 series, but also as a beacon of support for their valued customers. Their infrastructure and technical expertise provide Method Motorsport with the unique ability to offer comprehensive assistance to customers and their cars throughout the duration of the season.
For their existing and prospective sponsors, this represents a prime opportunity to become involved in the inaugural SRO GT4 season, capitalizing on the exposure that comes with televised broadcasts on free-to-air TV.
Co-Owner Gareth Whiteley from Method Motorsport, explained the rationale behind their entry into the SRO Category, "Our decision to align with the SRO GT4 Series was driven by a shared commitment to integrity and excellence. This alignment offers a platform for our talented drivers to showcase their skills on a global stage in the near future, but most certainly across Australia, next season. The SRO GT4 Series not only values our passion for motorsport but also brings opportunities for Method Motorsport to extend our services to drivers of all experiences. With a calendar featuring six rounds and a limited number of available seats between the two Artura’s, we expect to have a complete roster as we head into the upcoming season.”
Team Principal Guy McEntyre added, “Bringing an international powerhouse like SRO Motorsports Group to Australia is not only an enormous step forward for motorsport in this country but also an opportunity for Method Motorsport which we simply could not pass up. SRO is the founding body for GT4 internationally and will give our drivers the opportunity to compete in a class of racing which has been amazingly successful across the world with all the hallmarks for close competitive racing on an equal playing field."
As Method Motorsport rapidly approaches 2024, they eagerly anticipate what the structured framework will deliver to enhance their driver lineup and bolster their brand.
